Copyright Information for Staff and Students

The Australian Maritime College is subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth of Australia Copyright Act 1968. This act imposes obligations on all AMC staff and students. It is provided for you as an AMC student or staff member so that you understand your obligations and entitlements with regard to copyright. It should not be used in place of legal or other professional advice.

AMC staff and students are both users and creators of copyright material. As AMC is a specialist Institute of the University of Tasmania, these guidelines will provide AMC staff and students with an overview of copyright law as relates to learning, teaching and research.
