Do you ever hear your students or your children saying “Why do I need to learn this?” or “When will I ever use this maths in real life?” We might be able to help. We offer a free 50 minute - 1.5 hour interactive session, run by one of our AMC representatives. The aims of the session are to introduce the idea of applying current curriculum maths principles to real-life maritime concepts and projects. We seek to encourage young people to continue studying maths and science and want to show how studying maths can support a rewarding career in this sector.

Re-Engineering Foundation Australia, founder of the well-known F1 in Schools program, is proud to partner with AMC to extend SUBS in School to Tasmania in 2021. To be one of the first schools to participate and join early information sessions later this year, please register your interest with us to receive the next steps in participation.
This program is focused on engaging student interest in the technology of submersible vehicles and submarines, and is built on the fundamentals of project-based learning. It is a high level STEM project where students have the opportunity to learn about complex Engineering Systems and build operational Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) or Submarines. A fundamental and key differentiator of SUBS in Schools is the requirement for students to work directly with industry partners, like the AMC, throughout their projects. The tasks faced by the students within SUBS in Schools are aligned to those faced by engineers working on real marine and maritime projects.
