This program includes the elements of a classic MBA, but the addition of a strong maritime and logistics focus provides you with an excellent level of understanding of these industries. As a result, you will be equipped for senior management positions in the sector.
You will complete 12 units and have two options available for study. You can choose to undertake the course fully by coursework or, alternatively, primarily by coursework with a final dissertation equivalent to three units of study.

This program is similar to the standard Master of Business Administration however you will complete an additional four units, completing 16 units in total and with two options available for study. Our Master of Business Administration (Industry Specialisation) provides a platform for you to combine the knowledge and skills delivered through the Maritime and Logistics Management MBA program with discipline specific units, offering practical application within the marine environment or the maritime industry.
These courses are designed to provide both existing and potential middle and senior managers with management knowledge and expertise which can be applied in the key industry specialisations, the marine environment, maritime technology and maritime operations/maritime industry operations. The focus is on an applied approach to these key sectors of the maritime industry, centred on strategic and analytical thinking, providing a unique educational experience.

The Master of Logistics Management (Advanced) course provides a broad focus on logistics and is suitable for students with future employment or current professional experience in private enterprise, industry or government, involved in demand and production planning, the transport industry, retail companies, logistics service provider companies, port authorities, the safe and efficient distribution of goods, agribusiness, security and international humanitarian logistics.
In choosing the Master of Logistics Management (Advanced) you will:
- Build up advanced skills in logistics management and supply chain management
- Diversify through extension electives in areas such as globalization, maritime policy and law, harbour operations and port/terminal management
- Consider key aspects such as legislation, taxation, insurance, risk management, safety and compliance
Students undertaking the Master of Logistics Management (Advanced) also have the option of the following interim exit awards:
- Graduate Certificate of Logistics Management (50 credit points / 0.5 year full-time study or equivalent)
- Graduate Diploma of Logistics Management (100 credit points / 1 year full-time study or equivalent)
